The highly anticipated Overwatch 2 Season 6 Invasion is set to launch on August 10, bringing a plethora of new features, including Story Missions, Co-Op Event Missions, the New Flashpoint Game Mode, Hero Mastery Missions, and more. In addition to these exciting additions, Blizzard has revealed plans to implement extensive hero balance changes, some of which for the player base to anticipate include:

Cassidy:
• Magnetic Grenade: The ability’s travel time has been significantly reduced and is now capped at 1.5 seconds.
• Increased Health Buff
• Damage Falloff changes: Details unspecified
Torbjorn:
• Primary Weapon: Increased fire rate
• Weapon Swap Speed improvement
Soldier:76:
• Helix Rocket: Damage reduction
• Tactical Visor: Increased cost to charge ultimate ability
Orisa:
• Fortified bonus health
• Reduced damage falloff
Lifeweaver:
• Tree of Life: Ability Change (part of healing converted to over health)
• Rejuvenating Dash: Healing Increases and some health is converted to shield
Kiriko:
• Protection Suzu: Ability Change (no healing unless a negative effect is cleansed, followed by burst heal)
Mercy:
• Caduceus Staff: Damage Nerf (reduced from 30% to 25% damage amplification)
Sombra, Ramattra, Doomfist, Bastion:
Some general changes include:
• Sombra will undergo small changes, introducing a new ability.
• Ramattra and Doomfist will block more effectively, reducing stuck damage.
• Bastion’s ability kit will be altered to enhance fluidity and increase the potential of Tactical Grenade.

Additionally, Game Director Aaron Keller assured players that the upcoming support hero will be “exciting and impactful” from the very beginning. The intention is not to release an overpowered hero, but rather one that brings value to the game. Feedback from the community will be closely monitored
Furthermore, a significant change to damage against armour calculation is on the horizon with a shift to an additive nature. Heroes like Ramattra and Orisa, who were difficult to damage due to bypassing the damage reduction cap, will now be easier to take down.
