In a surprising turn of events, the highest-ranked Apex Predator on PC, known as Facilitatur, has
been banned during a Ranked match in Apex Legends, reportedly for cheating. This was not the first
time.
In the middle of 2022, Facilitatur’s third ban was lifted, sparking accusations from the community
that Respawn was “shielding cheaters.”
In a recent Ranked match of Apex Legends, Facilitatur, the leading player in the battle royale genre
encountered an unexpected ban right in the middle of a heated skirmish. While cheating isn’t new to
the game, the ban of the number one Apex Predator on PC has raised eyebrows among players and
fans alike. This development has significantly impacted the game’s leaderboard hierarchy.
Facilitatur started his gaming journey on Xbox, where he achieved near-top ranks. Subsequently,
Facilitatur, along with partner Invulnerable, shifted to PC following hacking allegations. Despite these
controversies, Facilitatur managed to reclaim a prominent position in the ranks and recently secured
the top spot. However, this achievement drew intensified scrutiny, prompting Respawn
Entertainment to intervene.
A video by RealLegendJuice, shared by Apex Legends News reveals the pivotal moment of
Facilitatur’s ban.
In the video, RealLegendJuice and their squad engaged in a fierce battle near Production Yard on the
Broken Moon map. As the situation escalated, Facilitatur, playing as the newly reworked Revenant
character, managed to down RealLegendJuice. However, with a sudden twist, Facilitatur’s Revenant
disappeared. And a message emerged in the kill feed, confirming the player’s removal from the
match.
On Aug 2, HisWattson, a notable content creator and former pro player, had raised concerns about
Facilitatur’s rapid ascent to the top of the PC rankings. HisWattson pointed out that Facilitatur was
seemingly impossible to catch off guard, implying prior knowledge of opponents’ actions.
While the removal of cheaters from the competitive arena is a positive step, balancing the Ranked
system in Apex Legends has been a persistent challenge. And, Respawn Entertainment is striving
hard to find solutions that satisfy the player base. As the game progresses, it’s hoped that fair and
skilled players will dominate the upper echelons of the ranks.
