The initial excitement of Diablo 4 players surrounding the Season of the Malignant content was dampened by the sweeping changes made in patch 1.1. Blizzard Entertainment faced a wave of criticism leading to an emergency live stream to address the feedback.

As a result, players can look forward to the much-needed reprieve with the 1.1.1 patch. Here’s an early look at what to expect:

The update will focus on significant changes to Sorcerer and Barbarian classes making them more competitive and enjoyable with substantial buffs expected to enhance the performance. Additionally, there are hints about a new level of power and strategy for these characters with class-specific items.

Players voiced frustration with the slow XP gains in the endgame, particularly when striving to reach level 100. To alleviate this, the 1.1.1 update will boost the rate at which players earn XP after reaching level 50. Furthermore, Nightmare Dungeons will see an increase in the number of enemies, enabling more efficient farming and faster progression.

Character respecs are aimed at allowing players to experiment with different builds. However, the high cost hindered many from freely exploring their options. With the update, the expected respec cost reduction is substantial, 40% to be precise, giving players the freedom to experiment without worrying about resource depletion.

The update will be introducing a new stash tab, providing players with additional room to manage their loot addressing their concern regarding limited inventory space. The stack size of Elixers will be increased to 99, easing the burden of item storage and allowing players to focus more on demon-slaying.

While an official release date has not been announced yet, players can anticipate the Diablo 4 1.1.1 update to roll out nearly on August 4, 2023; a week after the scheduled Campfire Chat on July 28, to be livestreamed on Twitch and YouTube, commencing at 11 am PT.

Blizzard’s commitment to addressing player feedback is sure to restore the enthusiasm and satisfaction of its player base. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date draws near.
